ANACOSTIA WATERFRONT PARK
My proposal for the Anacostia Waterfront focuses on exploring the ecosystems in the Anacostia district. I investigated the relationship between different stakeholders and the area, including the U.S. Congress, D.C. Office of planning, Pierre L’Enfant, McMillan commission, Anacostia watershed society, long-time residents, and beavers. The design integrates development zones with a park area, orchestrating views to frame the newly inserted programs, while also connecting the neighborhood with the park in order to provide a better quality of life.
